OAK CREEK, Wis. (WFRV) – Multiple injuries, an ambulance ride for someone highly intoxicated, and a brief police pursuit of a fleeing motorcycle all stemmed from a 60-person bar fight Sunday evening in Wisconsin, authorities say.
According to a release from the Oak Creek Police Department, officers responded at 5:04 p.m. to the Route 41 Bar and Grill at 8900 South 27th Street for reports of a large physical fight involving about 60 people.
Upon the arrival of the police, two 32-year-old men were said to have been physically assaulted and were evaluated on the scene for minor injuries.
One person, a 23-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to the hospital due to, as officers state, being in a “highly intoxicated state.”
A motorcycle was also seen leaving the bar as police started to arrive. A Franklin officer attempted to stop the motorcycle, but it took off, leading to a brief pursuit that was later terminated. Officers say it is unknown if the motorcyclist was involved in the reported fight.
At this time, no other information is available, and the Oak Creek Police Department is continuing to investigate the bar fight, while the Franklin Police Department continues to investigate the fleeing motorcyclist.
