Chicago police have released new surveillance footage shedding light on a series of recent crash-and-grab burglaries that have plagued retail stores on the city’s Northwest and West Sides.
The footage captures the moment when suspects ram a vehicle into a business to gain entry.

Once inside, the burglars are seen quickly snatching items such as clothing and shoes before escaping in another stolen vehicle, which appears to be a van.
Authorities have confirmed that these thieves have targeted at least two businesses in the Garfield Park and Humboldt Park neighborhoods. The incidents occurred at the following times and locations:
- 4000-block of West Madison Street on Nov. 9 at 4:48 a.m.
- 800-block of North Kedzie Avenue on Nov. 10 at 4 a.m.
The suspects are described as males around 15-19 years old who weigh about 110-150 lbs. They wear all black with black masks.
