In a significant development, federal authorities apprehended a fifth individual on Wednesday in connection with a suspected ISIS-inspired terror plot targeting Halloween festivities in Detroit. The arrest underscores the ongoing efforts to thwart potential threats to public safety.

Ayob Nasser, a 19-year-old resident of Dearborn, Michigan, now faces charges of conspiring to provide material support to ISIS. Nasser, along with four accomplices, allegedly plotted what they referred to as a “Pumpkin Day attack,” drawing inspiration from the devastating 2015 Paris attacks orchestrated by the same terrorist organization.

This arrest follows the recent capture of two other Dearborn locals, Mohmed Ali and Majed Mahmoud, who were also implicated in the plan earlier this week. Their arrests have been pivotal in unraveling the extent of the conspiracy.

Meanwhile, law enforcement officials have also detained Milo Sedarat and Tomas Kaan Guzel in Montclair, New Jersey. These arrests, carried out on Tuesday and Wednesday, highlight the geographical spread and coordination among the suspects allegedly involved in this chilling plot.
