In Texas, Randy Campbell, aged 31, has been apprehended after being accused of fatally shooting 24-year-old Cherrish Nunley outside a gym on Sunbeam Road on November 15.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Authorities from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office have reported the arrest of a suspect following the tragic murder of a woman in the Mandarin area.

Randy Campbell was taken into custody on November 18, just three days after Cherrish Nunley’s death.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office stated that on Saturday, November 15, Nunley was discovered shot to death in the parking lot of Chuze Fitness, situated near the intersection of San Jose Boulevard and Sunbeam Road.

Utilizing the support of the U.S. Marshal Task Force, investigators from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office successfully tracked down Campbell in Dallas, Texas, leading to his arrest by local law enforcement.

“Campbell will be extradited back to Jacksonville once the appropriate legal process is complete,” JSO said in the announcement of his arrest.

Nunley’s family says she leaves behind two young children.

“She was killed in cold blood,” her sister, Justine, wrote. “She never got into trouble. She was a bright, beautiful girl, a wonderful mom and aunt, the best sister, and a great daughter. We will forever remember her, and she will not be another statistic. We will fight for justice. We will fight for her babies. We will fight for her.”

A GoFundMe has been created to cover Nunley’s funeral service costs and to support her children.
