In a weekend marked by gunfire, Brunswick, Georgia witnessed two shooting incidents that, thankfully, resulted in no injuries, though they did leave behind significant damage to buildings and vehicles, according to the Brunswick Police Department.

The first of these incidents unfolded on Sunday, March 22, around 2 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the Brooklyn Homes North apartments on Stonewall Street following reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, they found multiple vehicles damaged along with a building in the complex showing signs of structural harm.

While investigating the scene, officers were alerted to a second shooting incident near the 2400 block of Cleburne Street. This event is suspected to be linked to the initial shots fired at Brooklyn Homes.

At the Cleburne Street location, authorities discovered additional shell casings and further vehicle damage, painting a picture of a troubling and related sequence of events.

Officers arrived to the second location to find more shell casings and damaged vehicles.

Investigators said they found two possible suspect vehicles through surveillance footage; a white Ford Escape and a dark-colored Buick LaCrosse.

Both cars were later found parked and were towed for evidence processing.

BPD said no arrests have been made at this time, but investigators have persons of interest and are actively working to find them.

Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Howell at (912) 279-2606.
