Bryant Park Incident: Man Throws Cell Phone at Mother and Baby

In a shocking incident on Saturday morning, Bryant Park in Manhattan turned chaotic as a frenzied attack unfolded. A homeless man, seemingly in a fit of rage, targeted a mother and her infant daughter, launching a cell phone that hit the baby, police reports confirmed.

Around 10 a.m., Marc Okon, aged 49, allegedly zeroed in on the stroller carrying the infant near the intersection of Sixth Avenue and West 41st Street. The cell phone struck the baby’s left arm, leaving visible redness and causing immediate distress.

Following the initial assault, Okon reportedly retrieved his phone only to hurl it once more, this time aiming at the 39-year-old mother. Fortunately, this attempt failed to connect.

Officers swiftly intervened, apprehending Okon at the location. He now faces serious charges, including assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and reckless endangerment.
