Can you find guitar pick musician dropped in just 20 seconds?

Ready to see how sharp your eyes really are? If so, this latest brain-teasing challenge is sure to put your observation skills to the ultimate test.

This ingenious impromptu puzzle involves a nearly invisible guitar pick that expertly blends into an abstract-patterned rug and was posted last month by Reddit user LilyPadFastestRunner, requiring exceptionally keen vision to solve.

Nestled within the photo—an ordinary capture of what looks like a bath mat adorned with colorful, uneven shapes—is a guitar pick artfully disguised.

The challenge is to spot the musician’s accessory in just 20 seconds. Think you can solve it?

The post was shared to a popular forum called ‘Find The Sniper’, known for images featuring everyday objects cleverly disguised in plain sight.

‘Find the guitar pick I dropped,’ the user wrote, challenging the forum’s 794,000 so-called ‘snipers’ to take on the visual hunt.

So, set a 20-second timer and start scanning – can you spot it before time runs out?

At a quick glance, the image seems to be just a simple photograph of a slightly frayed area rug, typical of those placed outside bathroom doors or entryways.

Your eyes are immediately drawn to the design woven into the fabric – a pattern of geometric shapes scattered across its surface, resembling confetti or beachy pebbles.

Set against a soft off-white background and framed by a dusty pink border, the irregular shapes burst with pastel hues – each outlined in one color and filled with another, creating a playful, almost abstract mosaic.

Still scratching your head? Don’t worry – this puzzle is trickier than it looks.

If you need a hint, here’s one: Imagine the image sliced into three horizontal sections – focus your search on the middle part.

The guitar pick is perfectly nestled against the wool rug, nearly matching the size and color of the surrounding abstract shapes – making it easy to miss at first glance.

But keep an eye out for something that just barely stands out from the rug’s soft pastel palette – a subtle, yet telling clue to uncovering string strummer’s tool.

Haven’t found it yet?

Here’s one more: Among the speckled, seemingly hand-drawn shapes, one stands apart – it’s solid green, like fresh spring grass, and lacks an outline seen throughout.

Were you able to spot the guitarist’s pick?

If you found it – congratulations! You have sharp observation skills. If not, don’t sweat it – let’s reveal the answer.

Turn your attention to the right side of the rug, where a small, solid emerald shape sits alone as the only one of its kind.

The pick – a plain, unlabeled green accessory for music lovers – blends seamlessly into one of the colorful loops and rings, masquerading as just another part of the rug’s unique pattern.

Surprisingly, the post sparked an uproar of dozens of users who were shocked by how difficult it was to spot the small pick, despite the task seeming so simple.

‘I swear that was not there when I was sweeping through the picture! It’s crazy how your brain can just camouflage it when you don’t know where it is yet, and when you do, you can’t un-see it,’ one comment read.

Another said: ‘I actually laughed out loud when I finally saw it.’

‘This was surprisingly difficult,’ a third added. ‘It took me sooooo long. I’m so disappointed in myself.’

Agreeing, another wrote: ‘I was trying for so long to not zoom in because it felt like “cheating” but I gave in. Was so obvious! The color should have given it away.’

Optical illusions are a distinctive form of brain teasers, offering remarkable benefits.

Spotting hidden objects enhances your ability to notice small changes in your surroundings.

Focusing on an illusion trains your brain to process visual information more efficiently.

Whether its hidden objects, altered images or patterns that make you scan the image multiple times, these illusions are not only fun, but simultaneously training the brain for increased mental agility.

And the more you challenge your brain, the better it becomes at solving tricky situations in everyday life.
