Celebrated Grammy winner Cardi B has joyously announced the arrival of her fourth child with partner Stefon Diggs, who is a wide receiver for the New England Patriots. The rapper’s representative confirmed the exciting news to the press on Thursday.
The 33-year-old artist shared her happiness with fans on Instagram, posting a video of herself lip-syncing to “Hello” from her latest album, “Am I the Drama?”. In a heartfelt caption, Cardi B expressed her gratitude and reflections on this new chapter in her life.
“My life has always been a blend of different chapters and seasons,” she wrote. “This last chapter marked the start of something new. Starting over is never easy, but it’s been incredibly rewarding. I introduced new music and launched a new album into the world, and welcomed a new baby into my life. It’s yet another reason to become the best version of myself, to love myself more fiercely so I can continue giving my children the love and life they deserve.”
Cardi B went on to share her excitement for the future, stating, “This next chapter is all about ‘Me vs. Me’—overcoming challenges and defying the odds. I’ve begun preparing for my tour, focusing on my body and mind. Nothing will stop me from delivering the performance of a lifetime! I’ve grown, I’ve healed, and I’m embracing the woman I’ve become. This new era is about stepping into my power like never before.”
“My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons. My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it! I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve,” she wrote. “This next chapter is Me vs. Me! It’s me against all odds me against everything meant to get in my way. I’ve started prepping for tour getting my body right getting my mind right. There’s nothing that’s gonna stop me from giving you guys the performance of a life time! I’ve learned I’ve healed, and I’m loving the woman I’ve become! That’s what this next era means to me and I’m stepping into it better than ever.”
In a post to Instagram Stories on Thursday she appeared to confirm that she had a boy, but other details were not immediately available.
The birth comes roughly two months after Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, announced her pregnancy in September during an appearance on “CBS Mornings.”
“I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby,” she said at the time.
The rapper shares three children with her estranged husband Offset, from whom she has filed for divorce. She said in the September interview that she was initially hesitant to pursue a new relationship following the split.
“Let me heal you. Give me a chance for me to heal you,” she recalled Diggs telling her.
Cardi B released her sophomore album, “Am I the Drama?” in September. She is scheduled to launch her first arena tour, Little Miss Drama, in February.
The rapper credited Diggs with providing stability as she balances her career and motherhood. “He just makes me feel safe and very confident and very strong,” she said.
