Country music fans were left in floods of tears over Carrie Underwood’s touching gesture while performing at Opry 100: A Live Celebration in Nashville, TN on Wednesday.

The 42-year-old country crooner paid tribute to her mentor Randy Travis by singing two of his songs -Three Wooden Crosses and Forever and Ever, Amen – which she concluded by serenading him in the crowd at Grand Ole Opry’s Ryman Auditorium.

Carrie suddenly held the microphone to the 65-year-old country vet’s face and he sang the final ‘Amen,’ which made the crowd stand up for an impromptu ovation during the telecast that aired live on NBC/Peacock.

Randy’s ability to communicate was severely affected by his aphasia diagnosis after suffering a near-fatal stroke in 2013.

Underwood then leaned in for a hug from Travis, who was beaming with pride over his former pupil’s powerful three-octave soprano pipes.

17 years earlier, the six-time Grammy winner surprised the eight-time Grammy winner on that same stage by inviting her to be inducted ‘into the family.’

X user @creecher28 tweeted a video of the moment captioned: ‘I’m not crying you are!’

‘What an amazing performance by Carrie and Randy,’ X user @LindaLu71284274 agreed.

‘Definitely brought tears, it was so beautiful.’

X user @heyyitsCelia tweeted: ‘This performance had me all in my feels! Carrie did an amazing job and the surprise at the end is always special!’

‘Such a touching tribute to Randy Travis by Carrie Underwood,’ X user @Birdietweets16 wrote.

‘Not a dry eye in the house when Randy sang, “Amen!”‘

X user @Tamaraincanada tweeted: ‘Omg I was literally bawling! So sweet! Loved Randy Travis’ voice. It was so unique and beautiful!’

Carrie looked leggy in a gold-embellished black gown featuring a sheer skirt and a sash over one shoulder, which was selected by styling duo Courtney Webster + Marina Toybina.

Underwood’s hair and make-up were both done by Melissa Schleicher, including extra long false lashes and bronzed cheekbones.

The American Idol Judge was joined at Opry 100 by her husband of 14 years, NHL star-turned-Catchin’ Deers owner Mike Fisher.

Carrie and the Canadian 44-year-old – who met backstage at one of her concerts in 2008 – are proud parents of 10-year-old son Isaiah and six-year-old son Jacob.

Underwood – who averages 10.2M monthly listeners on Spotify – currently judges the 23rd season of American Idol, which airs Sundays on ABC.

The Oklahoma-born belter made history as the first-ever person to judge the formerly Fox singing competition after winning it in 2004.

Carrie is scheduled to conclude her Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency from March 26-April 12 at Resorts World Las Vegas.

Blake Shelton had the honor of hosting Opry 100: A Live Celebration where he also performed a cover of Joe Diffie’s 1994 hit Pickup Man.

The 48-year-old Voice alum made sure to bring his third wife Gwen Stefani, who wore a black sheer ruffled top with fishnets and cowboy boots for the festivities.

The 55-year-old No Doubt frontwoman gazed adoringly at Blake, whom she began dating in October 2015 just two months after deciding to end her 13-year marriage to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale amid nanny cheating allegations.

Speaking of country couples, Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks performed together at the event after he confessed he had ‘hundreds of incredible memories being part of this greatest family.’

The 60-year-old How Do I Live singer and the 63-year-old Thunder Rolls singer impressively celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary on December 10.

Trisha then ditched her black caftan in favor a striped grey dress to perform with her ‘friend and hero’ Reba McEntire ‘in the circle’ of the famed stage.

Yearwood and the 69-year-old Happy’s Place actress performed a cover of Vicki Lawrence’s 1972 hit The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia.

Post Malone showcased his eccentric style in a red patterned blazer over a white button-up shirt, snug blue jeans, and brown weaved cowboy boots selected by stylist Catherine Hahn.

The 29-year-old rapper-singer – who grew up in Grapevine, TX – joined Ashley McBryde onstage to perform a cover of the Kingston Trio’s 1963 classic, Jackson.

Post (born Austin Richard Post) also performed a cover of Elvis Presley’s 1975 hit T-R-O-U-B-L-E alongside Travis Tritt.
