In the 1990s, she was one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

Lauren Holly, now 62, gained initial recognition for her role as Deputy Sheriff Maxine Stewart on the popular TV series “Picket Fences.”

She rose to stardom in the 1993 biographical film “Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story,” portraying the wife of the legendary martial artist, Linda Lee.

Holly’s career continued to flourish as she starred as Mary Swanson in the 1994 comedy blockbuster “Dumb and Dumber,” where she not only shared the spotlight with Jim Carrey but also fell in love with him.

Their on-screen chemistry turned into a real-life romance, leading to their marriage in September 1996. However, the union was short-lived, ending in divorce by July 1997.

Holly also played Darian Smalls in 1996’s Beautiful Girls and Gigi in 2000’s What Women Want.

Now she is costarring with Sophia Bush in the new movie Broad Trip, which debuts on May 8 on The Roku Channel. See what she looks like these days.

She was born in Pennsylvania and attended Sarah Lawrence College in New York.

Her acting career began at age 20 when she appeared as Carla Walicki in two episodes of Hill Street Blues. 

She was also in one episode of Spenser: For Hire. 

At age 23, she joined the cast of the soap opera All My Children as Julie Rand Chandler. She was on the show from 1986 until 1989. 

She portrayed the comic book character Betty Cooper in the TV movie Archie: To Riverdale and Back Again in 1990.

In 1992, Holly’s big break came when she was cast as small-town Deputy Sheriff Maxine Stewart opposite veteran movie actor Tom Skerritt on CBS’s Picket Fences for four seasons.

Then came  Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story and Dumb and Dumber.

She also had a part as a doctor in Sydney Pollack’s 1995 remake of Sabrina with Harrison Ford.

And she could be seen with Kelsey Grammer as Lieutenant Emily Lake in the 1996 comedy Down Periscope.

In 1999, she starred in the film Any Given Sunday as the wife of the Sharks quarterback, played by Dennis Quaid.

She was a member of the cast of NCIS as Director Jenny Shepard from 2005 to 2008. She also played Dr Betty Rogers on Motive.

In 2014, she starred in the film Field of Lost Shoes and then was in The Blackcoat’s Daughter.

In 2018, she showed up on the third season of Designated Survivor.

Holly posed for several magazines like Movieline, Empire and InStyle during the height of her fame.

The thespian has been married three times. 

Her first marriage was to actor Danny Quinn. The two wed in 1991 and divorced in 1993.

Next, she was with Carrey, whom she actually met for the first time during an audition for Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.

In 2001, she married Francis Greco, a Canadian-born investment banker. 

They adopted three children: sons Henry, George, and Alexander Holly-Greco. The couple divorced in 2014.

She lives in Ontario with her three children but travels often for her projects.
