In addition to these highlights, fans in Los Angeles will have even more to look forward to:
- Sept. 26: A special screening of the newly restored 4K version will take place at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’ David Geffen Theater, followed by a talent Q&A.

Throughout October, the restored version of the film will return to theaters nationwide. Commemorative merchandise including new designs from Funko, Loungefly, RockLove Jewelry and others will also be available this fall.
First released in 1975 and based on the stage musical by Richard O’Brien, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” broke new ground with its boundary-pushing themes, stylized visuals and iconic soundtrack. It remains the longest-running theatrical release in film history and is still going strong with weekly screenings held around the world.
