Diddy verdict: Shocked celebrities react as rapper is found not guilty

The entertainment industry in Los Angeles is shocked following a surprising decision revealed on Wednesday during the federal trial of the once-respected hip-hop figure, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. After the news broke, 50 Cent didn’t waste any time in making critical comments.

Despite disturbing accounts of alleged sexual misconduct, coerced drug usage, and what was referred to as ‘freak offs,’ the 55-year-old former music powerhouse was cleared of charges of participating in racketeering conspiracy and two allegations of trafficking individuals for sex through force or deception.

However, the outcome was not entirely in Combs’ favor. The jury, following three days of deliberation, found him guilty of two lesser charges related to transporting individuals to partake in prostitution.

Each count carries up to 10 years behind bars — and federal prosecutors have already confirmed they’ll push for the full 20-year sentence.

The stunning outcome sparked swift and emotional reactions across the entertainment world, with Combs’ nemesis 50 Cent among the first to speak out.

50 Cent has long made it clear how he feels about his rap nemesis, and he’s never missed a chance to troll Diddy online.

But lately, he’s taken things to a whole new level, unleashing a wave of wild, AI-generated images mocking the Bad Boy mogul and the explosive allegations tied to his trial.

His latest jabs come on the heels of his vow to personally reach out to President Donald Trump in a bid to block any possible pardon for Diddy if he were convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking.

Last month, Trump said he would ‘look at the facts’ of the case, acknowledging that he and Diddy once had a friendly relationship.

‘If I think somebody was mistreated, whether they like me or don’t like me, it wouldn’t have any impact,’ the president added.

But 50 made it clear he intends to remind Trump of the history between them.

‘Donald doesn’t take well to disrespect, and doesn’t forget who chooses to go against him … while working tirelessly to make America great again there is no room for distraction,’ said 50 Cent.

Just as 50 Cent lit up social media with his ‘Gay John Gotti’ quip, Diddy’s former protégée Aubrey O’Day came forward with her own explosive reaction.

‘This makes me physically ill,’ she says in the clip.

She then remarks, ‘Oh my god, not guilty on Cassie!’

Cassie Ventura, Diddy’s ex girlfriend and the prosecution’s star witness, went through weeks of gut-wrenching testimony as she alleged that she was coerced into marathon ‘freak off’ sexual performances during her relationship with Combs.

In her testimony, Ventura – who was heavily pregnant as she took the stand – claimed that Combs often beat and abused her during their 11-year relationship.

During cross-examination Diddy’s defense attorneys brought up text messages from their relationship where Ventura wrote that she ‘loved’ the freak offs.

But a jury on Wednesday was not swayed by her testimony, and rejected the prosecution’s top charges and only convicted Combs of transportation to engage in prostitution of Ventura and another woman.

The conviction on the lesser charge carries a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison, with each of the two counts carrying a 10-year term.

Cassie has since given birth with her husband Alex Fine. She was not in attendance when the jury delivered the verdict on Wednesday, but her attorney was.

Following the verdict on Wednesday, Ventura’s attorney praised her for ‘paving the way’ for the bombshell trial against one of the music industry’s most powerful men.

‘This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023,’ they said.

‘Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution.’
