CENTER POINT, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — Center Point High School Principal Terrell Brown has been placed on administrative leave after being arrested on misdemeanor charges in Mobile in June.
Media reports indicate Brown was arrested for domestic violence.
According to a statement from Jefferson County Schools Superintendent Walter Gonsoulin, the incident did not involve any students or staff.
“We have been made aware that Center Point High School Principal, Dr. Terrell Brown, is facing a misdemeanor charge. I am not at liberty to discuss the specifics concerning the alleged incident, except to say that it did not involve any students, faculty, or staff and happened off campus,” Gonsoulin said. “In accordance with our standard practices and procedures, Dr. Brown has been placed on administrative leave. I want to stress that placing an employee on administrative leave is not an indicator that a person is guilty of a crime.”
