NEW YORK (AP) — A stabbing and shooting incident at a major New York City subway station on Saturday morning left two individuals hospitalized, according to a fire department spokesperson.
The New York Fire Department reported that the incident occurred just before 10 a.m. at the bustling 42nd Street-Grand Central station. The official did not provide details about the severity of the injuries sustained by the victims.
The New York Police Department’s public information office stated that additional information would be released later on Saturday.
The police department, posting on X, urged travelers to avoid Grand Central Station on Saturday morning due to a police investigation and to expect delays and heavy traffic. Some subway trains also were not stopping at the station, the Metropolitan Transit Authority said.
