In a thrilling display of resilience, the Chicago Bears secured a 22-16 victory against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night at Soldier Field. The highlight of the game was a spectacular 46-yard touchdown pass from Caleb Williams to DJ Moore in overtime, which sealed the win for the Bears. This comeback was even more impressive as the Bears managed to overturn a 10-point deficit late in the fourth quarter, leaving fans and players alike in a state of exhilaration.
This victory not only marked a crucial win over their longstanding rivals but also extended the Bears’ lead in the NFC North to 1.5 games ahead of the Packers. With this win, the Bears now boast an 11-4 record, as opposed to the Packers’ 9-5-1, and have exacted their revenge for a loss suffered at Lambeau Field just two weeks prior. The game was particularly notable for being the Bears’ sixth win of the season achieved after trailing in the final two minutes, a testament to their tenacity and never-give-up spirit. At one point, Green Bay had a staggering 99% win probability, making Chicago’s comeback all the more remarkable.
The evening was charged with excitement, with the Bears faithful coming out in full force to support their team in this classic rivalry. Soldier Field was electric, with fans like Steve Gonzalez expressing high hopes for the team’s prospects. “The atmosphere is crazy right now, we’re gonna go all the way this year,” Gonzalez enthusiastically declared. “All the way, da Bears baby.”

The game also saw a significant setback for the Packers, who lost quarterback Jordan Love to a concussion, further complicating their playoff hopes as the season nears its conclusion.
“Atmosphere is crazy right now, we’re gonna go all the way this year,” Bears fan Steve Gonzalez said. “All the way, da Bears baby.”
Bears fans packed the tailgate lots all day long, anxiously hoping for a revenge win against the packers after dropping a heartbreaker two weeks ago.
“I’m sorry Green Bay, but your time is done,” a Bears fan named John said. “You had a great run, it was really nice, but it’s over.”
Some fans even experienced their first game ever at Soldier Field.
“I’m so excited because I love the bears,” Bears fan Karen Montgomery said. “Watch them on TV, but I’m happy to be here.”
As the Bears make a push for the playoffs, many fans are also fired up about the team’s latest announcement of considering Northwest Indiana as a future home for the Bears. Fans of both teams were making their case to ownership and elected officials to keep the Bears in Chicago.
“It’s not going anywhere. It’s gonna stay right here,” a Bears fan named John said. “Come to my tailgate. We need the governor and the mayor, they need to come to our tailgate and realize the bears belong right here on the lakefront.”
“Heck no, It’s gotta stay in Chicago,” a fan named Mike said. “Soldier Field is iconic, just like Lambeau.”

Chicago moved closer to its first trip to the postseason since 2020 with a rare victory in the NFL’s oldest rivalry. Counting the playoffs, the Bears are 7-30 against Green Bay since 2008. They would clinch a playoff berth if old nemesis Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
Cairo Santos kicked a 43-yard field goal that got Chicago within 16-9 with 1:59 remaining. The Bears had no choice but to try an onside kick, and Josh Blackwell recovered it.
The Bears tied it with 24 seconds left when Williams beat an all-out blitz on fourth down and lofted a pass to a wide-open Jahdae Walker in the right corner of the end zone for a 6-yard touchdown. Coach Ben Johnson opted to have Santos kick the tying extra point rather than go for the 2-point conversion.
In overtime, the Packers had fourth-and-1 at the Chicago 36 when backup quarterback Malik Willis fumbled the snap. Chicago took over at the 36 and, four plays later, Moore hauled in the winning TD from Williams with Keisean Nixon draped all over him, setting off a wild celebration. Two weeks earlier, Nixon sealed the Packers’ win when he intercepted Williams in the end zone.
Already missing Micah Parsons after the star pass rusher suffered a season-ending knee injury in a loss at Denver last week, the Packers had to get by without Love, who took a helmet-to-helmet hit from Chicago’s Austin Booker in the second quarter. Love jogged to the medical tent and then headed to the locker room.
Williams completed 19 of 34 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns. Moore had 97 yards receiving with Rome Odunze missing his third straight game due to a foot injury. The Bears won their sixth in a row at home since a season-opening loss to Minnesota.
Love led two field goal drives and completed 8 of 13 passes for 77 yards before getting hurt. He had nine touchdown passes and only two interceptions in five previous games against Chicago.
Willis was 9 of 11 for 121 yards and a touchdown. Romeo Doubs had 84 yards and touchdown catch.
