Among the highlights was the celebration hosted by the DuSable Black History Museum, which marked its 64th anniversary with a day filled with service, connection, and inspiration. As the country’s oldest independent African American museum, DuSable welcomed everyone to partake in activities that fostered a spirit of love, service, and meaningful impact.

In keeping with Dr. King’s message of compassion and community, volunteers were encouraged to contribute to those in need by donating new, warm winter items. Essential donations included hats, gloves, scarves, hoodies, coats, socks, and blankets, ensuring that the less fortunate could find warmth and comfort during the colder months.
