Chicago police warn of more armed robberies of businesses in Brighton Park, Jefferson Park, Bucktown, Montclare, West Beverly

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police issued another warning Tuesday about an armed thief targeting businesses mostly on the Northwest Side.

The suspect in each incident is described by police as a 20-30-year-old man wearing a beige baseball cap, hooded sweatshirt, black cargo pants and black gym shoes. In each incident the suspect enters the business, displays a gun and demands money from employees.

Robberies occurred in a variety of Northwest neighborhoods at the following locations and times:

– 3900-block of South Archer Avenue at 5:18 a.m. Aug. 9 (Brighton Park)

– 6000-block of West Higgins Avenue at 11:50 a.m. Aug. 19 (Jefferson Park)

– 2000-block of North Damen Avenue at 1:38 p.m. Aug. 19 (Bucktown)

– 2700-block of North Harlem Avenue at 7:21 p.m. Aug. 26 (Montclare)

– 2400-block of West 103rd Street at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 31 (West Beverly)

This follows a warning released Sunday about an armed thief targeting businesses in the North Park and Norwood Park neighborhoods on the Northwest Side.

Police ask anyone with information to contact Area One detectives at (312) 747-8384, Area Two detectives at (312) 747-8273, Area Five detectives at (312) 746-7394 or submit an anonymous tip at CPDTIP.com and use reference # 25-CWP-025B.
