No video evidence backing Tara Reid’s claim she was drugged at Chicago bar: police

The Rosemont police have announced that their investigation has yet to uncover any video evidence supporting Tara Reid’s allegations of being drugged during her stay at a Chicago hotel bar in November.

According to a statement released by the Rosemont Public Safety Department on Wednesday, surveillance footage captures Reid at the hotel bar, but at no point does it show anyone interfering with or adding substances to her drink.

The department further explained, “We can confirm that a bartender covered her drink when she left the bar, which is a standard practice for bartenders.”

Meanwhile, the investigation remains open as authorities await the receipt of the “American Pie” actress’s hospital records.

At present, the police department has indicated they cannot confirm the specifics of any chemical testing that may have been conducted by the hospital.

“We are working with Tara Reid to receive those records which she has also not received. Pending those results or further information coming forward, our detectives will follow up on those leads accordingly.”

The message closed, saying that authorities have found “no criminal act that has been committed” and that they are not currently investigating anyone.

A rep for Reid did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Reid, 50, who has a history of issues with substance abuse, came forward with claims that she was drugged during her Chicago visit on Nov. 24 after she was captured on video being transported out of the hotel via stretcher on Sunday morning.

In a clip obtained by TMZ, the “Big Lebowski” actress appeared to be nearly unconscious as she was helped by a group of people into a wheelchair.

At the time, a rep for the actress told Page Six that Reid had filed a police report after the incident and was “cooperating fully with the investigation.”

“Tara is recovering and asks for privacy during this traumatic time,” the rep continued. “She also urges everyone to be careful, watch your drinks and never leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone. She will not be making further comments at this stage.”

Reid later told TMZ that the scary incident “made me pass out for eight hours.”

“It’s just really scary. It’s for all — not just girls, but for guys, for anyone. You have to really be careful with your drink,” she warned on Monday.

The “Sharknado” actress added, “The whole thing is really scary. I’m just glad that I was in a public place. … And that there was security there to help me.”
