In Merrionette Park, Illinois, a heartfelt vigil took place on Tuesday night as family and friends gathered in search of hope and answers for Dan Davis, a man who has been missing for two weeks. Despite reported sightings, his loved ones are desperately seeking more information.
The mystery began two weeks ago when Davis, aged 59, was involved in a car accident. According to his daughter Wendy Davis, Dan declined medical treatment at the scene and then proceeded to 115 Bourbon Street, a bar in Merrionette Park where he is employed, located roughly a mile from where the crash occurred.

Dan was last seen departing from the bar on November 25. His family suspects that he may have suffered a head injury during the incident, which could be contributing to his disappearance.
Adding to the intrigue, surveillance footage emerged the day after his disappearance, capturing Dan in the nearby area of Blue Island. While this has provided some leads, the family continues to hold onto hope and seek further answers in their quest to bring Dan back home safely.
The following day, his family shared surveillance video showing Dan in neighboring Blue Island.
Dan was seen near St. Donatus Church and was believed to be seen, on camera, walking along Old Western Avenue on Nov. 26.
Since he has been missing, family and friends have been searching nonstop.
Dan’s loved ones gathered with the hopes he will be found safe, and soon, on Tuesday night.
“He never missed a day,” said 115 Bourbon Street owner Nick Dinovo. “We’ve seen miracles before and we’re asking for one now. We need him back.”
After the vigil, Wendy led a new search effort.
“We’re going to have different zones of people squared away, and we’re going to look down alleys. We’re going to hand out fliers. We’re going to do the same thing that we’ve been doing for two weeks,” she said.
Coworkers say Dan is the magic behind the scenes at the south suburban venue. Now, his community is determined to keep the spotlight on the efforts to bring him home.
“He loved making people happy. If you see them behind the board, everybody knew him and they knew what he was here to do,” Nick said.
Chicago police are handling the missing person case.
“I know that he would drop the world for me, and I wish that he could just see how many people are doing the same thing for him,” Wendy said.
