On Thursday, authorities in a suburb of Chicago implemented a shelter-in-place directive as they conducted a manhunt following a shooting incident in Lansing, Illinois.
According to FOX 32 Chicago, Lansing police urged residents near the 2700 block of 170th Street to remain indoors while they searched for a suspect who had fled the scene.
The suspect was described by authorities as a Black male, standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a black do-rag, a black hoodie, and a white surgical mask, and was last observed moving southward from 170th Street.
