A potential reunion is on the horizon in Kansas City.
As the NFL season approaches, the Kansas City Chiefs are actively seeking reinforcement in their cornerback lineup. They are considering a reunion with a familiar face, a key player in their two Super Bowl victories who faced legal challenges after departing from the team.
Veteran cornerback L’Jarius Sneed is scheduled to visit the Chiefs on Thursday, as reported by ESPN.

Sneed, who contributed four years to Kansas City’s success, was traded to the Tennessee Titans in 2024 in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick. The Titans released him this offseason.
During his stint with the Titans, Sneed encountered some legal difficulties.
Sneed was charged with aggravated assault in 2024, stemming from a shooting at a Texas car dealership.
The charges were then dropped to misdemeanor, and then dropped altogether in May of this year.
Sneed was not too keen on leaving the Chiefs after the 2023 season.
“Yeah, man, I didn’t talk to them. I was upset, man,” he said at the time. “I was upset, you know, Kansas City, that’s like my first love. They showed me the way, showed me how to be a champion, gave me two rings. You know I was bitter. I was angry because I wanted to stay in that environment around everybody who I was used to. But it’s God’s plan.”

Many at the time were shocked that the Chiefs traded away their CB1, who was a key part of the multiple playoff runs.
But the trade looked smart as Sneed struggled over his two years with the Titans due to multiple injuries.
With Sneed now free of the legal issues, the Chiefs are looking to bring back their former star corner after trading Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams.
Sneed had his best year with the Chiefs in 2022, when he tallied three interceptions, 11 passes defended and 108 combined tackles.
He maintained his strong play the next year and won his second Super Bowl.
