The Chiefs are bringing back Marquise “Hollywood” Brown.
The experienced wide receiver agreed to a new contract with Kansas City for the 2025 season. The deal is estimated to be worth as much as $11 million and was reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Last season, Brown, who is 27 years old, only participated in two regular-season games for the Chiefs. His playing time was cut short due to a sternoclavicular injury he sustained in the preseason. Despite the limited appearances, he managed to secure nine receptions for a total of 91 yards.

In three playoff games, Brown had five receptions for 50 yards.
The Oklahoma product was drafted No. 25 overall in 2019 by the Ravens, spending his first three NFL seasons in Baltimore.
Brown had the best season of his career in 2021 with 91 receptions for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns.
After that season, Brown was dealt to the Cardinals, where he spent two years.
The new Brown contract comes on the same day the Chiefs got bad news about fellow receiver Xavier Worthy.

Unfortunately, the young receiver faced legal issues recently. He was taken into custody on Friday evening and charged with assault involving a family or household member. The charge specifically mentioned impeding the individual’s breathing or circulation.
Kansas City will also be hoping for a bounce-back season from receiver Rashee Rice, who suffered a knee injury in Week 4 and missed the rest of the year.
Even after the Brown signing, the Chiefs’ wide receiver room is suddenly looking thin with DeAndre Hopkins, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Justin Watson and Mecole Hardman set for free agency.
