The Mets switched the start time of Tuesday’s game from 7:10 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. due to anticipated frigid weather.
Temperatures are expected to dip into the 30s at Citi Field on Tuesday night, but will still be in the mid-40s at the new game time.
When asked about the decision to make changes after Monday’s game, Carlos Mendoza humorously stated that he only became aware of it through the scoreboard during the match against Miami.
That game was played in Queens with a first-pitch temperature of 42 degrees.

Supporters holding tickets for Tuesday’s game will be given a voucher for a ticket to any other game taking place at Citi Field from Monday to Thursday during the months of April and May, depending on availability.
This adjustment follows a comparable choice made by the Tigers with their series against the Yankees, where they shifted three games originally planned for 6:10 p.m. to the afternoon.
