As Zohran Mamdani is set to claim victory in the New York City mayoral election, Chris Cuomo offered his thoughts on his brother Andrew Cuomo’s setback.

“I stand by my brother,” Chris Cuomo stated. “He’s exceptionally skilled in government operations. However, he doesn’t align with the current desires of the Democratic Party.”

After failing to secure the Democratic nomination, Andrew Cuomo ran as an independent, presenting himself as a seasoned moderate capable of handling the complexities of governing America’s largest metropolis.

The 67-year-old, who governed New York from 2011 until he stepped down in 2021 following multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, re-entered the political arena as a long-shot candidate.
