Many travelers are inspired to visit different countries based on the alluring content they see on social media, travel guides, and movies. However, these idealized portrayals can sometimes result in unsatisfactory experiences when tourists actually arrive at their destination.

An analysis of 97,409 Google visitor reviews, across 100 of the most visited cities in the world, uncovered where the most lackluster holiday destinations are.

From Cancún to to Kyoto, read on to discover the top ten most disappointing cities in the world for tourists.
