Friend of singer D4vd arrested on warrant for failure to appear as witness in LA homicide probe

An influential Twitch streamer and associate of controversial rapper D4vd has been arrested in Montana, accused of skipping a crucial court appearance in connection to a homicide investigation in Los Angeles.

Neo Langston, 23, was detained on January 22 on an unspecified warrant issued by the Los Angeles Police Department, according to jail records. KTVH obtained court documents revealing Langston’s arrest was due to evading a required appearance as a witness in a Los Angeles murder investigation.

The specific case in which Langston was expected to testify remains unclear. However, his friend D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is under scrutiny in the investigation of a teenage girl’s murder in Los Angeles.

In a chilling discovery last September, the dismembered body of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found inside an abandoned Tesla linked to Burke, 20, at a Hollywood Hills impound lot.

Burke, who was touring far from Los Angeles when Hernandez’s body was discovered, became a suspect following an extensive two-month investigation. Authorities suspect he may not have acted alone in the crime.

Hernandez had been missing for more than a year before she was found dead.

As the owner of the impounded Tesla, Burke quickly drew suspicion.

Eagle-eyed sleuths plucked damning lyrics from one of the rising rapper’s unreleased songs mentioning an old flame named Celeste, a matching tattoo, and an old Twitch stream where a girl matching her description was brought on as a guest.

A grand jury for the case already convened, and several witnesses have presented their testimonies. On Dec. 10, one witness was labeled as being “uncooperative” after a tense hallway exchange between a deputy district attorney and the witness’s attorney, TMZ reported.

It’s unclear if Langston is the unwilling witness in question. TMZ reported that he bonded out of jail after covering his $60,000 bail early Saturday morning.

Hernandez’s exact cause of death hasn’t been announced. It was repeatedly delayed because the teen’s remains were too decomposed after they were left to bake in the hot California sun for “several weeks.”

Since Burke was hauled into the investigation, his Hollywood Hills mansion — which bizarrely features a 55-pound “burn cage” incinerator — went on the market for a whopping $20,000 a month.

No arrests have been made in connection with Hernandez’s murder. Burke and one other unidentified suspect have been linked to the case.

The disgraced rapper has reportedly stopped cooperating with detectives since the investigation began.
