Dossier of evidence and 'smoking gun' that could topple George Soros

Progressive billionaire George Soros and his $32 billion Open Society Foundations (OSF) are encountering one of the most significant challenges in their long-standing history. This development follows the Justice Department’s recent decision to prepare plans for investigating the liberal funding powerhouse for allegations ranging from arson to providing material support for terrorism.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, Ryan Mauro, an investigator associated with the conservative Capital Research Center (CRC), expressed that evidence against the 95-year-old Soros is already visible, and prosecutors now possess the means to find what he described as a ‘smoking gun’ that remains undiscovered.

“It could be an undisclosed bank transaction, a piece of communication, or classified intelligence that hasn’t been properly shared yet—but the information is already available,” he stated.

Mauro and his team recently published a bombshell report alleging that the Soros-funded foundation has funneled more than $80million into groups linked to terrorism and extremist violence.

That exhaustive 90-page dossier has already been cited by senior DOJ official Aakash Singh as evidence for possible criminal charges.

Among the groups named by CRC were the Center for Third World Organizing and its militant partner, The Ruckus Society, which reportedly trained activists in sabotage during the 2020 George Floyd riots.

Another recipient, the Sunrise Movement, endorsed the Antifa-linked ‘Stop Cop City’ campaign in Atlanta, where dozens of activists now face terrorism and racketeering charges.

Mauro also alleged that OSF pumped $18million into the Movement for Black Lives, members of which have showed support for Hamas, and another $2.3million into Al-Haq, a Palestinian rights group that critics say supports terrorists – a charge it denies.

‘A decision has been made by Soros’ group to continue financing organizations linked to foreign terrorist groups and domestic terrorism, even though people know about it,’ Mauro said, warning that such activity crosses a line.

‘If I give an organization or individuals money to engage in crime, I am complicit.

‘Some of these groups are so blatantly engaged in criminal activity that it does step over the line from opinion into actual conspiracy.’

According to The New York Times, Singh has instructed more than a half-dozen US attorneys to explore charges against OSF ranging from racketeering and wire fraud to arson and material support for terrorism.

The Soros foundation did not answer requests for comment on Mauro’s report. But the group has strongly countered the claims raised by the Justice Department probe.

‘These accusations are politically motivated attacks on civil society, meant to silence speech the administration disagrees with and undermine the First Amendment right to free speech,’ OSF said in a statement.

The group insisted it ‘unequivocally condemns terrorism’ and that its activities are ‘peaceful and lawful.’

Soros, a Hungarian-born hedge fund tycoon, founded OSF decades ago to support democracy movements in communist and post-communist countries.

By the 1990s, it had expanded into the United States, where it bankrolls progressive causes from racial justice to climate activism.

That record has made Soros a villain to the American right, accused of masterminding unrest and violent protests through a sprawling web of nonprofits.

In 2023, Soros handed control of the OSF to his son Alex, 39, who has pledged to step up the fight against what he calls authoritarianism at home and abroad.

But Mauro warned that Alex – who married Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, 49, in a lavish Hamptons wedding this summer – may have inherited more than just a funding empire.

‘The OSF website itself admits it doesn’t disclose everything,’ Mauro noted.

‘If disclosing grants would endanger a grantee or the foundation, they keep it secret. So what we’ve uncovered is just what they’re comfortable telling the world.’

The DOJ probe comes at a fraught political moment as President Trump has repeatedly demanded Soros be jailed, branding him ‘an enemy of the American people’.

The Times reported that Singh’s memo instructs prosecutors to treat the Soros case as a priority, in a stark break from decades of practice meant to shield the DOJ from political interference.

Mauro believes the Soros probe will be just the start of a sweeping effort against America’s network of Non-Governmental Organizations.

‘There’s a real safe harbor for terrorism and extremism within the American nonprofit sector, and you have an entire infrastructure with an unimaginable amount of wealth exploiting that,’ he said.

‘When pro-terror groups organize and fundraise on Iranian soil, we call it state sponsorship of terrorism. When the same thing happens on US soil in the nonprofit sector, we call it charity.’

For Soros and his son, the stakes could not be higher. If federal prosecutors follow Singh’s roadmap, they may soon face an unprecedented criminal trial.

‘This is a new day,’ Mauro said. ‘We’re not going back to the way it was before.’
