() New court documents have revealed that baby Emmanuel Haro could have been killed as early as Aug. 5, nine days before his mother reported him missing.

The information emerged as Emmanuel’s parents, Rebecca and Jake Haro, were formally charged with seven-month-old Emmanuel’s murder on Tuesday.

Emmanuel’s parents have also been charged with making a false police report after his mother, Rebecca, reported him missing on Aug. 14.

She said she was changing his diaper in a store parking lot in Yucaipa when someone knocked her out and kidnapped the infant.

Rebecca and Jake Haro appear in court

Rebecca and Jake Haro were both in court on Tuesday as documents from the Superior Court of California County of Riverside shed new light on the charges they are facing.

Investigators wrote in the court docs, “Jake Mitchell Haro and Rebecca Renee Haro committed a violation of Penal Code section 187, subdivision (a), a felony, in that on or about August 5, 2025 through and including August 14, 2025, in the County of Riverside, State of California, the defendant(s) did willfully and unlawfully murder BABY DOE (E.H.).”

The documents also laid out the second charge, which is a misdemeanor.

“On or about August 14, 2025, in the County of Riverside, State of California, the defendant(s) did willfully and unlawfully report to a police officer, deputy sheriff, and member of the California Highway Patrol that a felony and misdemeanor has been committed knowing that report to be false,” the document reads.
