Guests can try limited-time dishes and drinks, including shareable Barrel Bites, peanut butter mochas and a comforting Broccoli Cheese Casserole.
WASHINGTON — Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is spicing up its menu with special fall items designed to put fresh spins on its homestyle classics.
The highlight of the fall lineup is Kick’n Ranch Fried Chicken, a limited-time take on the chain’s bone-in Southern Fried Chicken. The dish comes coated in zesty buttermilk ranch seasoning, drizzled with creamy buffalo ranch sauce, and paired with pickle ranch for dipping, along with two homestyle sides and biscuits or corn muffins. It’s available now through Oct. 9.
Cracker Barrel is also expanding its Barrel Bites shareables menu. New additions include White Cheddar Cheese Bites and Country Fried Pickles, both served golden brown with buttermilk ranch. The bites also hit the catering menu on Aug. 30, making them an easy choice for tailgates and game-day spreads.
Meanwhile, peach flavors take over the beverage menu. Guests can try a Peach Mimosa, that blends sparkling wine with sweet peach purée, or the Jack Daniels Country Cocktail Southern Peach, available through Oct. 9.
Coffee lovers can order a Peanut Butter Cup Mocha, topped with chocolate whipped cream, peanut butter drizzle and chocolate sauce.
Rounding out the seasonal lineup is the “comforting” Broccoli Cheese Casserole as a premium side option, and an Apple Streusel Pie served warm with vanilla ice cream for dessert.
“At Cracker Barrel, we are always exploring opportunities to offer guests new and flavorful twists on our traditional, made-from-scratch homestyle meals that can be enjoyed in our restaurants or at home,” Sarah Breymaier, director of Menu Strategy at Cracker Barrel said. “As we innovate, we strive to offer existing and new guests alike a variety of craveable choices.”
News of the new fall menu items comes not long after the chain revealed a new logo for the first time since 1977.
The new logo, described by the company as “rooted even more closely to the iconic barrel shape and word mark that started it all,” takes a cleaner, more contemporary approach and abandons the ornate script and iconic image of a man, nicknamed “Old Timer,” who is seated next to a barrel in previous versions.
Cracker Barrel’s full fall menu is available for a limited time at participating Cracker Barrel restaurants and online at crackerbarrel.com.
