Celebrating New Year’s Eve, Craig Conover was accompanied by his friends Paulina Gretzky and Dustin Johnson, after the announcement made by Paige DeSorbo regarding their breakup after three years of dating.
Gretzky posted several photos from an extravagant bash that showed Conover smiling while posing with her and her husband in Aspen, Colo.
In a group picture, the “Southern Charm” personality flashed a grin alongside Gretzky, Johnson, celebrity hair colorist Jeremy Cohen, Deadline reporter Scott Shilstone, interior designer Amy Lee McArdle, Paulina’s sister Emma Gretzky, and several other friends.
The daughter of the renowned hockey player Wayne Gretzky, Paulina, also shared a snapshot of herself posing with Conover and two other attendees in the collection of photos posted on Thursday.
Paulina, 36, and Johnson, 40, went all out for the New Year’s Eve party, decorating with dozens of gold and silver balloons and a Veuve Clicquot champagne tower.
Conover, 36, looked sharp in a blue long-sleeved sweater with khaki pants and brown shoes.
The Sewing Down South founder has been close friends with Gretzky and Johnson ever since they met in Aspen a few years ago.
The couple has since taken several vacations with Conover –– and eventually DeSorbo –– and even invited them to their wedding in April 2022.
The outing marked the first time that Conover had been seen since DeSorbo announced they had broken up after three years of dating.
“I love him. I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends,” she shared on Monday’s episode of her “Giggly Squad” podcast.
“No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.”
DeSorbo, 32, assured her fans that she still has “so much love and respect” for Conover and still considers him the “best boyfriend” she’s ever had.
“I think he is one of the best people I’ve met in my entire life,” she added. “I will remain the biggest fan for him and want the best for him, and he truly will get the best because he is the best. But, with that said, I think it is the right decision for both of us.”
The “Summer House” star didn’t divulge when they broke up or what led to their decision, but she shared that they have both grown and changed “a lot” since they began dating in 2021.
The former couple has since found themselves at the center of rumors about their relationship, but DeSorbo has played off speculation that she cheated and denied “ruining” a hypothetical proposal from Conover.
