Cristiano Ronaldo took his seat at the ‘Day of Reckoning’ next to Conor McGregor to watch the blockbuster evening of boxing.

Anthony Joshua headlined the event and comfortably defeated Otto Wallin, while Deontay Wilder was handed a shock defeat to Joseph Parker, with plenty of celebrities in attendance at the evening in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

And there was a star-studded cast of fans inside the Kingdom Arena with Ronaldo and McGregor arriveing ahead of the biggest fights of the night as they soaked up the atmosphere.

The pair were even seen in a video walking around the ring, with McGregor turning to the Portuguese superstar telling him ‘It’s a small ring’ with Ronaldo concurring with the UFC star.

The pair had been scheduled to sit together at the event, with organisers making a blunder on the seating plan, spelling the Irishman’s name wrong.

The pair finally took their seats ringside with McGregor seen conversing with the Al-Nassr forward.

In a video posted on TNT Sports, McGregor was then seen taking his place alongside Ronaldo ringside, with McGregor appearing to talk to another spectator about Dmitry Bivol, who takes on British fighton Lyndon Arthur tonight.

Taking his jacket off, he walks over to Ronaldo, before rubbing his hands together and sitting next to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

McGregor can be overheard speaking on Bivol, who takes on Lyndon Arthur tonight: ‘He’s the European star. And he’s the European amateur star. Very very good.’

The pair seemed in good spirits with the MMA superstar appearing to engage in a discussion with another spectator, before McGregor jested with Ronaldo comparing his watch to the former Real Madrid and Man United star’s time piece.

He can be overheard saying: ‘What we got there! Who’s winning? Who’s winning this one?’

The pair laughed as McGregor shook Ronaldo’s hand before grabbing his wrist to look at his watch.

Ronaldo was also spotted sitting next to Frank Warren who will reportedly sit next to long-time rival Eddie Hearn during the evening.

Warren’s Queensberry Promotions is hosting the event in Saudi Arabia, with Hearn’s client, Joshua, headlining the mouth-watering night of action.

Hearn said in his BBC column last month: ‘Matchroom and Queensberry will always be rivals, which is good for the fans because we will do our best to put on great shows, to be ahead of the competition.

‘But I have always said when the opportunity is right for the fighter, egos will generally be put to one side.’

Their rivalry goes back many years, with Hearn having reportedly copied his father to take some of Warren’s clients in the past.
