An Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Florida was abruptly evacuated on Thursday morning after a Cuban migrant brought a suspicious package that made a security guard fall ill, as per officials.

The package, which contained a white powdery substance, instigated panic at the Miramar facility around 7:15 a.m. The incident resulted in the arrest of the migrant, amid heightened scrutiny on illegal immigration by President Trump and ICE since the start of the current administration.

Multiple local authorities and emergency responders rushed to the scene following the security officer falling ill upon contact with the package during a routine screening, according to statements provided separately by Miramar police and ICE to The Post.

It’s unclear if the guard touched the package or was only in proximity to it, Miramar police public information officer Janice McIntosh said.

Both the guard and migrant were at first quarantined until the powder was identified before they were taken to the hospital as a precaution and released, an ICE spokesperson told The Post.

Meanwhile, a hazmat team and other authorities partially evacuated the building, though the area was given the all-clear around 9:45 a.m. and regular operations resumed.

The Cuban national who allegedly brought the suspicious substance was detained by the feds and is facing pending charges.

ICE said it is not identifying the migrant or what the substance was at this time.

A witness waiting in line told NBC 6 Miami he saw an employee on his knees before he was quickly helped inside by two other officials.

ICE has been at the forefront of the Trump administration’s mission to boot migrants who have entered the United States illegally, earning the department high praise from Trump voters and conservatives but also renewed scrutiny from the left.
