Terry Bradshaw will never leave NFL Fox pregame show: Curt Menefee

Curt Menefee, the familiar face of “Fox NFL Sunday,” humorously suggested that only a hearse could convince Terry Bradshaw to step away from his role on the beloved pregame show.

Terry Bradshaw, the 77-year-old NFL analyst renowned for his four Super Bowl victories with the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as his memorable on-air moments, has been an integral part of the show since its debut in 1994.

“That’s never going to happen! They’ll have to carry him out in a hearse—he’s not leaving the show,” Menefee, 60, remarked during a recent interview with The Daily Mail. “And he shouldn’t leave!”

Menefee emphasized the importance of Bradshaw’s presence, saying, “The show was built around him—he was the first person they hired and the first to go on air for this network. I don’t think he’ll ever leave. And he shouldn’t. He’s the heart and soul of what we do at Fox Sports.”

Joining Menefee and Bradshaw on the Sunday broadcast are football greats like Michael Strahan, former tight end Rob Gronkowski, and Howie Long, the ex-NFL defensive end who has been with the show since its inception in 1994.

“I grew up watching Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long… for me to be beside these guys who are not only icons, but guys that I worshiped as a fan growing up has been absolutely amazing,” Menefee said, teasing that he and Strahan are “the two kids” on the show.

“And when I go back to year one, those guys took me and wrapped their arms around me and embraced me and made me a part of the team right away.”

Bradshaw made waves online when he missed “Fox NFL Sunday” due to a cold in Week 11.

He assured fans that he was “all good” in a note posted on social media.

Menefee, who joined “Fox NFL Sunday” in 2007, said he would not be on the show if it weren’t for Bradshaw.

“They had the auditions, they ran through a lot of people, and Bradshaw said, ‘I want Menefee,’ and that went a long way in the decision makers’ minds,” Menefee said.

Gronkowski replaced longtime analyst and former Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson on the pregame show this season.

Johnson, 82, announced he was retiring from the show in March after 31 years with the program.
