D4vd brought casket on stage, released music video showing body in trunk

() New details are beginning to emerge about singer D4vd’s antics on and offstage before the dismembered body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found in the trunk of his car earlier this month.

The R&B singer allegedly had a casket on the stage while he was performing, and he released a music video in February, “One More Dance,” which featured a body being dragged and put into a trunk. In the video, D4vd is playing both the killer and the victim.
When asked by Ashleigh Banfield if D4vd’s actions show he has a different way of thinking, TMZ’s Charles Latibeaudiere agreed his behavior does stand out.

“It definitely works a little differently,” Latibeaudiere said about D4vd’s mindset. “On the other hand, I’m sure his attorney would say to you that’s his art. You can’t prosecute someone or arrest someone based on their art.”

D4vd had comment made on his TikTok that mentions LAPD and Celeste

Hernandez went missing in February 2024, and at end of the month, a user commented on one of D4vd’s TikToks, “Waiting for LAPD to get your ass for messing with a 13-year-old girl.”

It wasn’t until two months later that her family reported Hernandez missing. At the time, she was only 13 years old, authorities said.

“It’s impossible not to look at those things through a different lens,” Latibeaudiere added. “When his car is at the very least connected to this crime, and now you start looking at all these things, it’s hard not to look at it and go, hmm … what’s going on there?”

Hernandez’s remains were discovered at a Hollywood tow yard on Sept. 8.

D4vd was notified of the investigation after the body was found and is “cooperating” with authorities, his spokesperson said, according to Rolling Stone.

LAPD searched D4vd’s house and have several items of evidence, leads

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to that they raided D4vd’s home looking for “blood evidence” to connect to Hernandez.

“On September 17, 2025, detectives from Robbery-Homicide Division served a search warrant on the 1300 block of Doheny Place in connection with the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez,” the LAPD said in a statement.

“Several items of evidence were recovered and will be analyzed by detectives in the coming days. This is an ongoing investigation. Investigators are following up on several leads.”

While police haven’t officially linked D4vd and Hernandez, a leaked D4vd song mentions Celeste multiple times, Latibeaudiere said. The track, which leaked on Soundcloud in December 2023, was titled “Celeste_Demo unfin.”

No one has yet been charged in Hernandez’s death.
