LUBBOCK, Texas — A Lubbock father, Brandon Carter, and his daughter are aiming to make memories together while visiting as many local restaurants as they can.

The duo can be recognized from their “Chickens and B” restaurant reviews on the popular Lubbock Facebook group, LBK Foodies. Their biweekly stops at local restaurants are featured in their social media posts. In the posts, Carter details what the two ordered and describes the food, service and atmosphere of each restaurant.

In his posts, Carter delivers positive reviews and encourages the community to visit each local spot.

“I’m a big believer in Lubbock and the small business here,” Carter said.

Carter and his daughter, Eva, also known as Chickens, started their reviews to broaden their horizons. Carter said he had been a “victim of routine” and sometimes wished he had tried some restaurants sooner.

Carter’s posts on social media gain hundreds of interactions from community members who tell him they look forward to seeing his posts. He said business owners will tell Carter that people visit restaurants after seeing his posts on social media.

Carter hopes to continue to try out new local restaurants with his daughter and hopes these visits will become something she will remember forever.
