In a challenging turn of events for the Indianapolis Colts, quarterback Daniel Jones experienced a non-contact Achilles injury to his right leg during the matchup against the Jaguars on Sunday. The incident occurred near the end of the first quarter, casting a shadow over the game for Colts fans.
Jones, who is 28 years old and previously with the Giants, encountered the injury in an awkward fall while attempting a throw. Notably, Jones had been demonstrating resilience by playing despite a fractured fibula in his left leg. Prior to his injury, he completed 5 of 7 passes, accumulating 60 yards and throwing an interception. His efforts, however, were overshadowed by the unfortunate end to his participation in the game.
