(The Hill) — Daryl Hannah is expressing support for Ukraine at the Academy Awards.

“Slava Ukraini!” the “Blade Runner” star said to applause as she stepped onto the Oscars stage on Sunday to introduce the “Achievement in Film Editing” category.

Hannah held up her two fingers in a peace sign as she voiced her support with the term, which means “glory to Ukraine,” for the country.

It’s not the first time that Hannah has backed Ukraine, writing on social media shortly after Russia launched its invasion in 2022, “We stand with you & All the victims of brutal dictators & senseless wars.”

The 64-year-old performer’s brief remark came days after an explosive confrontation between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House.

During the tense Oval Office meeting on Friday, Trump called Zelensky “disrespectful” and that he was “not ready for peace” after Ukraine’s leader challenged him and Vice President Vance over Russian President Vladimir Putin’s history of ignoring ceasefire agreements.
