‘We lost the leader, heart, and soul of Barstool Nashville, Iga Obrycka,’ they captioned a carousel of her photos. ‘Our heart goes out to her family, those that she was born into and those of us she chose to be in her life. There will never be another like her and she will be with us always.’

‘At the right time, we will hold a celebration of life that we hope she’ll look down on and smile, and you are all welcome. Rest easy Iga. Your memory will live on forever.’

One of Obrycka’s friends and colleagues, Cameron Morris, wrote, ‘Best partner in crime to explore a new city with and do it all while “working”. Opening Scottsdale with you was a dream, the amount of laughs were unmatched and the late nights in a new city for both of us will never be forgotten. Life’s not fair.’

Born in Poland, Obrycka and her family moved to the United States in the early 2000s. She grew up in New York City before relocating to Nashville in 2020.

While in New York City, Iga worked for the Tao Group Hospitality for nearly nine years, managing their venues and events.

Upon arriving in Music City, Obrycka initially worked as the reservation manager for Twelve Thirty Club before becoming their membership director during a year-long stint.
