In Idaho Springs, Colorado, the local police department is reigniting the investigation into the mysterious disappearance of Beth Miller, who vanished while out for a jog more than four decades ago. With advancements in technology and a renewed call for public assistance, authorities are determined to uncover the truth behind the case that has haunted the community for years.
On the morning of August 16, 1983, Beth, then just 14 years old, invited her younger sister to join her for a jog around 10 a.m. Her sister opted to stay home, and Beth set off on her own, as recounted by Sgt. Ryan Frost, the lead detective assigned to the case.
“Beth was dedicated to her basketball team and was keen on maintaining her fitness for the upcoming school term,” Frost explained. “She left her residence, jogged a few blocks, and was last seen heading east along Colorado Boulevard. A couple of her friends spotted her near the old 7-Eleven, marking the final confirmed sighting of Beth Miller.”
