Demarcus Cousins Boogie-d himself right off the team.
The Baloncesto Superior Nacional league (BSN) announced on Tuesday that Cousins was banned from his Puerto Rican basketball team for the rest of the season due to his involvement in physical altercations with fans.
During a game, the four-time NBA All-Star had to be forcefully escorted off the court after he grabbed the arm of a fan sitting courtside. As he was exiting the playing area, Cousins also made physical contact with another spectator.
BSN officials announced Cousins was fined $4,250 for a disqualifying foul, a technical foul and actions deemed to incite or provoke others.
The fine could increase to $10,000 if he fails to “show cause” why it shouldn’t be raised.
Cousins, who plays for the Mets de Guaynabo, found himself in the middle of these wild altercations with fans Monday during a road game.
He gestured with his genitals toward a fan mocking him and then flipping him off, before grabbing the fan’s arm as the scene escalated.
While he exited the floor, Cousins grabbed toward a fan and the two made contact. That fan then threw his beverage on the former Kentucky star.
Other fans joined in on emptying their drinks onto Cousins in a scary and dangerous situation.
Cousins, who last played in the NBA for the Denver Nuggets in the 2021-22 season, has been competing in various basketball leagues around the world since then.
He’s made appearances in Mongolia, Puerto Rico, and Ice Cube’s Big3 League.
Cousins made All-NBA First Team in 2011 and was selected twice to the All-NBA Second Team (2015, 2016) after being selected No. 5 overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 2010 NBA Draft.
He has a history of bizarre behavior, including getting two technical fouls in three minutes in an NBA game in 2021, which resulted in one of the quickest ejections you’ll ever see.
