Dianna Russini, a former NFL insider, seemed to be enjoying a delightful evening in New York City alongside her husband, Shake Shack executive Kevin Goldschmidt. The couple was spotted at a lively dinner gathering before attending a Bruce Springsteen concert at Madison Square Garden, despite the recent buzz surrounding Russini’s controversial situation involving New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.
Photos shared by the Daily Mail captured Russini and Goldschmidt appearing relaxed and unfazed as they socialized with a large group of friends at Bourbon and Branch Bar in Midtown. Their evening was filled with laughter and camaraderie, setting a carefree tone amid the swirling headlines.
“They were having a great time,” an observer noted to the outlet. “It was a joyful atmosphere with plenty of food and drinks at their table. Despite the circumstances, they seemed completely at ease.”
Throughout the night, Russini and her husband sat across from one another, seemingly unperturbed by any potential recognition from fellow diners, indicating a comfortable and confident demeanor amid the unfolding scandal.
The diner said the couple sat across from each other and didn’t seem bothered if anyone recognized her.
The tangled private lives of the former The Athletic reporter and Vrabel were thrust into the spotlight last month after Page Six published exclusive photos of the pair holding hands at an Arizona resort in March.
Vrabel called the story “laughable,” while Russini denied any wrongdoing, adding that they were on a group trip, which has yet to be proven.
Other explosive images released by Page Six show Vrabel and Russini — both married to other people – appearing to kiss at a Tribeca tavern in Manhattan in March 2020.
The snaps were taken six months before she married her now-husband, with whom she shares two kids.
TMZ also reported that the duo rented a private boat together in Tennessee in June 2021 – just months before she gave birth to her first child that August. At the time, Russini was covering the Tennessee Titans for ESPN while Vrabel was head coach.
The mom of two has remained silent since she resigned from The Athletic on April 14.
The New York Times, which owns The Athletic, is in the midst of an internal investigation on the matter.
Vrabel, a father of two who has been married to his wife Jen since 1999, brushed off questions ahead of the 2026 NFL draft, calling the situation a “personal and private matter” without naming Russini or addressing the scandalous photos.
He told reporters he’s had “difficult conversations with people I care about,” calling those talks “positive and productive.”
Vrabel spent the first two nights of the draft with the Patriots before he stepped away to seek “counseling” and focus on himself during draft weekend.
The Patriots have stood by their head coach and said they supported his “decision to prioritize his family first as well as his own well-being” in a statement.
The NFL said that it is not investigating Vrabel’s behavior, and he was not disciplined by the Patriots organization.
