Speculation is swirling among fans that Travis Kelce’s former girlfriend may have subtly criticized the NFL star and his current partner, Taylor Swift.

This Halloween, Kayla Nicole channeled her inner Toni Braxton, dressing up as the R&B legend and recreating the music video for Braxton’s 2000 hit, “He Wasn’t Man Enough For Me.”

The lyrics of this classic song include Braxton singing, “Did you know about us back then? Do you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend?”

Further into the track, she adds, “I’m not thinking ’bout him / But you married him / Do you know I made him leave?”

The song continues with, “Do you know he begged to stay with me? / He wasn’t man enough for me,” leading to speculation about the possible message behind Nicole’s costume choice.

Fans in the comments were convinced that Kayla was throwing shade at Travis and Taylor.

‘TMZ is about to have a time with this post. Theeee perfect costume + song! YOU ARE HER!’ commented one.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Bozoma Saint John wrote, ‘YOU CLEARED THE ROOM!!!!! Omg. The level of petty, slayage and pure decimation needs to be studied.’

The costume comes after speculation that Swift, 35, dissed Nicole on her new track Opalite — a song she’s admitted is about Kelce, 36, whom Nicole dated on and off for five years until 2022.

Lyrics like, ‘You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone / You were in it for real, she was in her phone / And you were just a pose,’ were quickly pegged as a dig at Nicole, who Kelce once publicly scolded for constantly being on her phone.

In one resurfaced clip, Kelce is heard telling Nicole at dinner, ‘Oh my God. Get off your phone… You’re not even drinking your wine anymore, can we go?’

Nicole dated Kelce on and off from 2017 to 2022. Over those five years they were often at A-list events together.

Taylor announced her engagement to NFL star Kelce in August.

In the past year, Nicole has repeatedly been questioned about her dating life with ex Kelce.

She said that she’s done romancing athletes and would rather have a relationship with an executive of a record label or a movie producer.

When trolls lashed out at her for talking about Kelce after their split she countered, ‘Life handed me lemons and I made a lemon martini out of it and that upsets people.’

Earlier this year, the influencer was one of the celebrity contestants on season three of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

She won the series alongside reality star and DJ Brody Jenner.

Meanwhile, Kelce was the inspiration for Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Of all the tracks on Swift’s twelfth album, the one that attracted the most immediate attention was the ninth track: ‘Wood’.

Chock full of innuendo, Swift brags about Kelce’s proficiency in bed and how ‘His love was the key that opened my thighs’ among other remarks.

In the two weeks since that album and track were released, Kelce appears to be putting up better stats on the field.
