Diddy 'is raging that Mangione is getting more attention' in jail

Diddy is furious that alleged CEO murderer Luigi Mangione is seen as a bigger star by inmates at the Brooklyn federal prison where both are locked up, it’s claimed.

The rapper, 54, and Mangione, 26, are both awaiting trial at Brooklyn’s infamous Metropolitan Center in New York, and Diddy – real name Sean Combs – is reportedly raging that the alleged killer is more beloved than he is among inmates.

‘Diddy has been throwing tantrums over the fact that Luigi is getting all of the attention in prison and is being revered as a hero after literally murdering someone on camera,’ the source said.

Diddy is reportedly upset because he claims he is innocent of sex trafficking yet he continues getting ‘so much hate inside the lock up while Luigi gets so much love.’

‘Even in prison, Diddy’s ego is bigger than life,’ the source added.

Mangione is apparently ‘loved by the prisoners and is not having a difficult time dealing with everything because he has gotten so much support with prisoners who have shared with him their stories of losing loved ones due to inadequate healthcare.’

‘Not to mention the fact that the prison, itself, faces constant allegations of inadequate healthcare to those who are locked up,’ the source told DailyMail.com.

While Diddy and Mangione share a legal team, they have not crossed paths in the prison, as the alleged assassin remains in solitary confinement while the rapper is with the general population.

‘Diddy has not had any contact with Luigi Mangione despite sharing the same legal team,’ the source said.

‘They do not spend time together and the two really have zero in common.’

Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Center also holds other high-profile inmates such as Sam Bankman-Fried. It is also the jail where notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein killed himself.

Officials say Mangione fatally shot UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompsonon December 4 as he was walking to an investor conference in midtown Manhattan.

The killing shocked the business community and galvanized some health insurance critics. Mangione posted frequently online about his struggles with back pain, though he was never a UnitedHealthcare client and notes found on him point to a targeted murder intended to send a message.

He pleaded not guilty in a New York state court to multiple counts of murder, including murder as an act of terrorism.

Federal charges against Mangione include murder and firearms counts. He made an initial appearance on the charges late last month. He won’t be required to enter a plea until an indictment is returned.

As DailyMail.com previously reported, Mangione is ‘moved’ by his newfound world fame and the fans lusting over him following Thompson’s murder.

A source close to Mangione said he is ‘extremely aware of the massive fan base he has right now.’ He was ‘shocked and really choked up’ when he first saw the support he has received, which ‘gave him confidence and reassurance that he will be okay.’

Meanwhile Diddy is awaiting his own trial for sex trafficking and prostitution charges. He has pleaded not guilty.

He also faces a wave of sexual assault lawsuits, many of which were filed by a Texas attorney who says his firm represents over 150 people, both men and women, who allege sexual abuse and exploitation by the rapper.

The lawsuits allege many individuals were abused at parties in New York, California and Florida after receiving drug-laced drinks.
