Dillon Brooks didn’t shy away from taking aim at some of the basketball’s big names like Luka Doncic, LeBron James, and Steph Curry.
When questioned about which players top his list of basketball’s most frequent complainers, Brooks, who dons the Suns jersey, quickly mentioned Doncic, James, and Curry alongside Jaren Jackson and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

“Who’s the first to pop into my head? Without a doubt, Luka. Luke’s a notorious complainer,” Brooks remarked. “And Curry, I’ve actually challenged him before—planted one right in his chest during a contest.”
Interestingly, Doncic has acknowledged Brooks as the NBA’s premier trash talker and relishes the opportunity to face off against him.
The rivalry runs deep between Doncic and Brooks, who once clashed regularly when Doncic played for the Mavericks and Brooks was part of the Rockets roster.
In his career, Doncic has thrived against him, averaging 29.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game.
Curry has enjoyed playing against Brooks in his historic career and considers him a friendly on-court rival. During a December game last season, Brooks earned a Flagrant 1 foul for striking Curry on a play. Curry later jokingly called the play “bush league.”
Brooks went on to think about who else he considers a complainer and quickly remembered James, saying “LeBron, for sure.”

Since the 2023 NBA playoffs, Brooks and James have had one of the NBA’s most heated feuds. They had an infamous staredown during pregame warmups.
Since then, the two have always battled against one another.
During the Western Conference semifinals, Brooks was spotted sitting courtside during Game 4 of the Lakers-Thunder matchup.
Brooks was seen laughing at James after he missed a free throw.
Next season, the Brooks-James rivalry will enter a new chapter because James is a free agent for the first time in eight years and will not return to the Lakers.
