This is the shocking moment a disabled black man was forced out of a car without his wheelchair by Maryland deputies who mistook him for a wanted man as his family watched on in horror.

The appalling footage shows the man being approached by a police officer at his car window after being pulled over.

He’s heard explaining to the cop that he is paralyzed but is asked to step out of the vehicle.

‘I’ll need you to come out so I can talk to you,’ the officer says.

‘No problem. I’m paralyzed, you want me to just come out?’ the man says.

As the man opens the door, the officer pulls him out of the car seemingly not realizing the man can’t walk at all.

‘He’s paralyzed, he can’t walk, he’s a paraplegic,’ the man’s wife is heard saying.

As he collapses onto the ground, the officer and his colleague set the man down onto the ground.

While attempting to find out what is going on, the man is heard asking the pair why he is being left on the roadside.

He’s eventually maneuvered back into the car before his wife goes to get his wheelchair. The man continues filming the ordeal as the officer begins to refute how the events unraveled.

It’s later explained that he is going to be arrested for a crime which took place in an area .

More than 3,900 people have commented on the footage which garnered almost 50,000 reactions and viewed over 660,000 times.
