()The LA-area wildfires have ravaged homes, displacing thousands who need basic necessities, and several aid organizations are on the ground to provide help.

Over 12,000 structures have been destroyed in the Palisades, Eaton and Hurst fires that have devastated thousands of acres. Officials said there are 92,000 residents under evacuation orders and 89,000 under evacuation warnings.

“Repopulation will not occur until all areas are safe,” Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Anthony Marrone said Sunday, adding that some residents won’t be allowed to return to evacuation zones until the red flag event forecasted for Jan. 15 ends.

The wildfires have left countless in need, and many organizations are looking for volunteers to help provide services.

Here are some groups to contact if you’re interested in volunteering:

Mutual Aid LA has compiled a list of several groups needing volunteers.

It’s Bigger Than Us is looking for volunteers to transport resources and pack and distribute supplies.

The LA Regional Food Bank is accepting volunteers and food donations.

Pasadena City College is partnering with several groups to hold a donation drive. Food donations and volunteers are needed to help receive items and sort and distribute goods.

The LA Dream Center needs helpers to pass out donations, direct traffic, sort clothes and prepare meals. It is also accepting donations.

Union Rescue Mission is looking for volunteers to help in the kitchen.

Collins & Katz Family YMCA needs help with organizing donations and compiling care packages with hygiene products. The center is also looking for drivers to deliver resources to Pacific Palisades residents.
