The Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to an estimated $650 million, positioning it as the 10th largest in the game’s history.

After Friday night’s draw failed to produce a winner for the $625 million prize, the jackpot has rolled over to the next drawing on Tuesday, October 21. The current cash option for this massive prize stands at $304.1 million.

Friday’s event not only lacked a grand prize winner but also saw no tickets claim the million-dollar Match 5 prize.

This marks the 33rd drawing in a row without a jackpot winner, following the last major win of $348 million in Virginia on June 27. Since its inception in 2002, this prize has now become one of the largest jackpots Mega Millions has ever offered.

Significant growth in the jackpot has been noted since the game raised its ticket price from $2 to $5 in April 2025. This increase has led to larger prizes, and the game has also improved the odds for players. Now, the likelihood of winning the grand prize is one in 290,472,336, a slight improvement from the previous odds of one in 302,575,350, due to a reduction in the Mega Ball pool from 25 to 24 numbers.
