Disney+ and Hulu are expanding into video podcast content to enhance fan-favorite shows. The new companion video podcast slate will offer audiences a deeper look at TV shows with recaps, behind-the-scenes facts, and more.

The exciting endeavor launches with “‘Only Murders in the Building’ Official Podcast,” coinciding with the show’s season five premiere on September 9. New podcast episodes will be released weekly to go with each episode drop.

Michael Cyril Creighton, who plays Arconia neighbor Howard Morris in “Only Murders in the Building,” will host and executive produce the podcast. He’ll be chatting with guests including series showrunner and executive producer John Hoffman, and stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Christoph Waltz, Jane Lynch and Keegan Michael Key and more.

Direct-to-Consumer & Disney Entertainment Television Marketing President Shannon Ryan shared, “We built this slate of companion video podcasts to give our fans even more ways to connect more deeply with the shows they love. These are like a backstage pass for their favorite series, and we can’t wait to give fans the opportunity to expand their viewing experience, go behind the scenes with our creators and casts, and continue the conversation beyond each episode in an engaging and entertaining new way.”

Podcast episodes will also be available on YouTube and will be distributed through audio channels in partnership with ABC News Audio.

Joining the podcast family will be hit Disney shows like “Dancing with the Stars,” “Paradise,” “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” “Tell Me Lies,” “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” and “Murdaugh: Death in the Family.”

While chatting with On The Red Carpet, “Dancing with the Stars” judge Derek Hough revealed his gratitude for fans ahead of the September 16 premiere, “Big shout-out to all the fans who’ve been watching for so long, because without you truly. I mean, shows are getting let go and canceled left, right and center. We’re going strong. And, it’s because of the fans who have been tuning in every single year for 20 years. So, thank you guys.”

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Hulu, Disney+ and this ABC station.
