An unexpected incident unfolded at Disney World’s renowned Indiana Jones stunt show on Tuesday when a massive boulder prop went off its intended course, colliding with a cast member who valiantly attempted to stop it in its tracks.
The tense moment during the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Hollywood Studios was captured on video by an audience member and quickly went viral.
During the show’s temple sequence, the enormous prop, designed to mimic the iconic scene from the Indiana Jones films, emerged from behind the scenes, rolling down an elevated track. Instead of following its usual path, the boulder struck a wall, causing it to veer off the platform and head towards the audience.
In a courageous effort to prevent any harm, a staff member quickly dashed towards the runaway boulder, trying to intercept it before it could reach the spectators. Unfortunately, the force of the prop knocked him to the ground.

The dramatic moment occurred on stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. As the scene unfolded, other employees swiftly came to the fallen cast member’s aid. When he stood up, it was evident that the back of his shaved head was injured, with blood visible.
The cast member was then quickly knocked down by the force as other employees rushed to help him. When he got up, the back of his shaved head was visibly covered in blood. Â
The prop ultimately ricocheted back toward the stage and away from the audience, where staff were able to safely recover it.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Disney said they will not release the current condition of the member to respect his privacy but noted that he is recovering.Â
“We’re focused on supporting our cast member, who is recovering,” Disney said.

Disney said the park will also modify that scene of the show following the incident.
“Safety is at the heart of what we do, and that element of the show will be modified as our safety team completes a review of what happened.”Â
