In a troubling incident early Tuesday morning, a man in his 30s was shot several times in a restaurant parking lot on Jacksonville’s Northside. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reports that the shooting occurred outside Barons Crab Stop, located at 1069 Golfair Blvd.
According to JSO Sgt. Richardson, officers were dispatched to the scene around 6:15 a.m. following reports of gunfire. The altercation reportedly began as a dispute over money between the victim and the suspect.
During the heated exchange, the suspect allegedly fired multiple shots at the victim, striking him in the armpit, bicep, and thigh. Despite the severity of the confrontation, the injuries sustained by the victim are considered non-life-threatening, as confirmed by Sgt. Richardson.
The incident has prompted an investigation by local authorities as they work to piece together the circumstances that led to the shooting. Meanwhile, the community is left on edge as they await further updates on this unsettling event.

Richardson said the man and suspect know each other, however, the sheriff’s office does not yet know the relationship between the two. He added that the shooting appears to be an isolated incident, and that detectives spoke to witnesses.
